Ballooning around Covent Garden

My social media feeds have been flooded with posts about Covent Garden's ceiling being occupied by white balloons. Has someone rented it for a birthday party? Why is everyone going to see plastic sacks of breath? Well clearly it's important if everyone is taking selfies in front of it.
"What in God's name is going on?" I cried.
"I have no idea but we must check it out!" replied Abi.
Meet Abi. We go way back! From hating each other in secondary school to studying the same degree we really are twins.
Singing in the rainnnn!
I digress.
Charles P├ętillon suspended 100,000 illuminated balloons to resemble a cumulus cloud. Sounds like a pigeons worst nightmare if you ask me.

This pigeon seems to like it! Hey, Did you hear balloon prices are going up?
It's due to Inflation!
See what I did there? Just me? Ok, I'll see myself out.
Usually when an artist does a Covent transformation there's a popup exhibition to display the rest of their artwork. I was unsure if photography was allowed but I did manage to take a cheeky snap. (Definitely didn't do it any justice).
Slowly returning from Cloud 9 we made our way to Whittard in search of some hot chocolate.

Shops like these really get me excited to decorate my new apartment in Brighton.
The last stop on our trip was Harrod's for some gift shopping.
The Harrod's building is a beauty but I'm pretty sure we can all agree that this picture steals the show:
I'd just like to say thank you to everyone that has followed and viewed this blog since the revamp. You have octopi'd my thoughts. (Sorry)

  14. Oooooh very punny! ;) :P (see what I did there? haha!)

I love Covent Garden, I haven't been in years! Looks like you had a lovely day, the exhibition looks pretty cool. I think a trip must be on the cards pretty soon.

I also love Whittards! I am obsessed with a particular kind of coffee they do, and I was devestated when the Brighton store closed. Now I have to order it all online! :(

    Love your blog!
